Quito, Otavalo, Cotacachi (2018-2020)

It is a creative project in residence for performing artists from the Andean region, with the purpose of encouraging research into festive theatricalities in the context of the celebration of Inti Raymi (solstice of June 21), from an ancestral understanding of the agro-festive calendar of the Andean peoples.

Performing artists from different disciplines from countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador have participated in the 20-day residency. The program thus seeks to facilitate the creation of collaboration networks with artists and cultural managers from the Andean region.

During the process, residents participate in a series of activities in Tumbaco, Quito and various places in Imbabura, which gives them a diversity of inputs for their research and creation, which is presented in a final exhibition open to the public.
